DWG is run by 100% volunteer members across six committees, who serve as leads. They are passionate, enthusiastic and dedicated to working towards the organisation's overall objectives through their own committee's targets.

ART SHOW
Promoting and supporting local artists
For over 20 years the Art Committee has organised one of the most important fundraising events of our year — the DWG Annual Art Show, supporting emerging and established artists alike.

Telling the story of our work
The Communications team runs our social channels, photographs every event, keeps this website current, and makes sure sponsors get the visibility they were promised.

Caring for the environment
Dedicated to promoting environmentally positive initiatives within the Dakar community, while making sure DWG events are greener.

Engaging with the community
Responsible for organising and running DWG's flagship fundraising events, while also supporting local artisans and artists and securing sponsorship.

Supporting local organisations
Manages the resources allocated to local charity projects — running the call for applications, the selection, and the visits to local initiatives against DWG's eligibility criteria.
