The Dakar Women's Group is a 100% volunteer, mainly English-speaking organisation representing women from over 50 different countries.
We have been running since 1987. Created as a gathering for social and professional networking, we have grown to over 200 dedicated volunteers working to improve the wellbeing of communities in and around Dakar.

We distribute essential funding to small projects focused on social welfare. We empower small businesses, entrepreneurs and artists to promote and sell their products through our Christmas Bazaar and Summer Fair - all while advocating for sustainability through environmental projects.

Through the partnership of members, sponsors and donors, DWG is able to support charities in and around Dakar.
Collectively they are a source of drive, enthusiasm and resourcefulness for members. They develop the policies and procedures for DWG, deliver on members' needs and make sure the overarching mission of DWG is fulfilled.
