Promoting and supporting local artists
For almost 25 years the Art Committee has organised one of the most important fundraising events of our year - the DWG Annual Art Show. Every piece is selected, hung and sold by volunteers, and the artists keep the majority of every sale.
We work with emerging and established Senegalese artists alike, and with schools who visit the show during its opening week.

WHAT THE COMMITTEE DOES
Members visit studios across Dakar through the year, select the work, price it with the artists, design the catalogue, hang the show, and run the sales desk across the vernissage. It is the most hands-on committee we have, and by far the most sociable.
